Jonny Manak and The Depressives mix-up elements of surf rock, rockabilly, punk and 60’s/70’s garage rock. Imagine Chuck Berry and Dick Dale playing classic rock with members of The Ramones. Scratching your head? You’ve got to check them out to hear this encompassing sound.

Singer, song writer, and professional skateboarder, Jonny Manak, wrote and recorded JM&D’s debut album, Rebound Town. The record proved to be a huge local and underground hit and received rave reviews from Razorcake, Rhapsody, Absolutepunk.net, Skratch. Bassist Kris Perez and drummer Steve Campbell joined the band to contribute to JM&D’s recently released second full-length album, 1.21 Jiggawatts.

The group has performed nearly 200 shows together locally and internationally. They most recently performed at the Refreshing Sounds Session in Amsterdam hosted by Heineken. We’re thrilled to have their high energy grooves in the LCL line-up!
