Performing at The Blank Club on Wednesday night.
The Bay Area has proven to be a great place for a band like Ambience to create and perform their work.
Living in a community where music and art have no boundaries, its no wonder Ambience’s “World Rock” sound immediately grabs the attention of first-timers.
Bass player and band leader Kayhan Golkar states, “Our goal is simple; to write good music that promotes culture and diversity”
Their passion for music is found in the live show, which visits many spectrums of sound and instrumentation, including well received ethnic hand percussion and drum circles. Audience members experience a large picture of sound and rhythm that has a rare sense of control.
Aaron Axelsen of San Francisco’s Live 105 has recently taken a shine the group, and features their single “Two Mouths One Head” on his sunday night program Soundcheck. Listeners responded well, and the band is booked for BFD 2009 at Shoreline Ampitheater, Northern California’s largest alternative music festival.
